Visitors can be good medicine for our patients, so we welcome family and friends who want to visit; however, since patient care is our primary concern, we have established specific visiting hours from 6 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. daily on most nursing units.
Visiting hours for our CCU, PCU and Obstetrical units are more limited and are posted on those units.
Following are general guidelines for visitors:
- Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere else inside the facility.
- Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirt and shoes.· No more than three visitors are allowed at the patient's beside at one time.·
- Visitors in semi-private rooms must be considerate of both patients in the room at all times.
- People who have colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visits should be kept short.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid making any unnecessary noise.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments, or when the physician or nurse needs to see the patient.
