Financial Arrangements
Arrangements for payment of your hospital bill are made at the time of admission. We require identification, insurance and membership cards every time you register at Northeast. All information will be handled confidentially. As a courtesy, we will submit your hospital bill to your insurance company for payment. Depending upon your coverage, you may be required to pay a deductible or room differential charge based upon the length of stay required by your physician. However, you are ultimately responsible for payment of your account.
Certain employers and insurance carriers require that an individual’s need to be admitted to a hospital be certified before admission, to determine the medical necessity of admission. Failure to obtain pre-certification may result in penalties or denial of payment by your carrier. It is your responsibility to notify registration, your physician whether your employer or carrier requires pre-certification of healthcare services.
Under Medicare, you are responsible for paying any deductibles and coinsurance amounts that may be due. The hospital will file all secondary insurances provided.
If you are staying overnight, your room assignment will be determined by the kind of medical care you are to receive and room availability. As your condition improves, you may be transferred to another unit in the hospital.
If you have no insurance, are Medicaid pending, or anticipate a problem in paying your account because of low income or loss of employment, please call Patient Financial Services at (660) 785-1043.

Questions or payment of these bills should go directly to the doctors or their billing services.
