Sports injuries can result from many things, including acute trauma or repetitive stress associated with athletic activities. At Northeast Regional Medical Center, sports medicine is used to treat common musculoskeletal injuries that affect the bones, soft tissue, muscles, ligaments or tendons.
Northeast Sports Medicine and Rehab provides physical therapy, rehabilitation and athletic training to the residents of Northeast Missouri.
Our athletic training services focus on the prevention, diagnoses and treatment of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving injury or functional limitations. The program includes education in injury/illness prevention, first aid and emergency care, assessment of injury/illness, human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic modalities and nutrition.
Our Physical Therapists specialize in the evaluation and treatment of patients with muscular, bone, joint and sport injuries. We address injuries of all severity levels, evaluating and treating patients for movement impairments. Our goal is to get you back to normal as soon as possible.
