Updated Visitor Guidelines

In response to the downtrend in COVID cases in Adair and surrounding counties, NRMC will update hospital Visitation Policy effective 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 9. Please see below for a departmental overview of the policy change per specific hospital department.
- Emergency Department
- Adult patients: 1 visitor at a time. Visitors can switch out.
- Pediatric patients: 2 visitors
- Outpatients:
- 1 visitor stays with them at all times.
- Inpatients:
- Pediatric: 2 visitors allowed at a time and can come and go.
- Adults: 1 visitor between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (can switch out and come and go)
- COVID floor (4th floor):
- CCU:
- 1 visitor between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (can switch out and come and go)
- NO visitors for COVID-19 patients or in isolation (PUI - person under investigation)
- OB:
- 1 visitor at all times (can come and go)
- 1 additional visitor hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (can switch out and come and go)
- 1 support person for COVID-19 patients or in isolation (PUI - person under investigation) and they MUST stay in the patient room at all times.
Patients who are diagnosed as COVID-positive will not be allowed visitors without specific exception approval.
