Northeast Regional Medical Center Donates to Local Organization to Honor Medical Staff for National Doctor’s Day

To celebrate National Doctor’s Day this year, Northeast Regional Medical Center found a unique way to thank the providers who serve at the hospital. In lieu of gifts, NRMC donated money to charity in honor of its medical staff.
“We want to say a big thank you to all of our medical staff,” said Dwayne Blaylock, NRMC interim CEO. “Our hospital is fortunate to have every single one of our providers on our medical staff, and on Doctor’s Day we acknowledge their contributions, sacrifices, and skills.”
NRMC employees have long supported United Way of Northeast Missouri. Each year, employees campaign to donate to United Way. The additional gift from NRMC will further the support that NRMC employees provide each year.
“The United Way Northeast Missouri does so much for the citizens of Kirksville and the surrounding communities,” Blaylock said. “Our employees take pride each year in supporting the United Way, and I am very thankful for their continued support. I am pleased to add to their generosity in honor of our medical staff.”
The United Way of Northeast Missouri supports many local agencies including NEMO Senior Citizens Services, Adair County Family YMCA, The Salvation Army, Community Opportunities, and many more. According to their website, one in three people within the service area use United Way sponsored agencies.
