Northeast Regional Medical Center's sleep study program monitors patients' sleeping patterns for more than 80 types of sleep disorders. Common disorders include sleep apnea, insomnia and restless legs syndrome.
Getting a good night's rest is important. Sleep disorders can keep you from getting restful sleep, leading to a host of health concerns. If you commonly experience the symptoms below, a sleep study might be right for you:
- Gasping or stopping breathing for short periods of time during sleep
- Snoring
- Trouble concentrating during the day
- Waking up with a headache
- Experiencing jerking movements in your legs during sleep
