Join Northeast Regional Medical Center’s Heart Month Celebrations
2/1/2023
Kirksville, MO (Feb. 1, 2023) – February is American Heart Month. It’s a time for Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC) healthcare providers and staff members to help educate our community about heart health, wellness and heart disease prevention. The NRMC cardiac staff make it their mission, not only during heart month, but every month, to fight one of the country’s most costly and deadly diseases.
Heart disease can impact anyone. So, NRMC is hosting events throughout the month of February to provide education about heart health and heart disease prevention. Events include:
Friday, February 3
National Wear Red Day/Go Red for Women. Join NRMC staff in wearing red on Friday, Feb 3.
Tuesday, February 28
NRMC will hold its “Heart Health Lunch & Learn” event at NRMC in the Conference Room 4 from 12 - 1 p.m., where you’ll be able to talk with Dr. Larry Handling, cardiologist at NRMC, about heart care, enjoy a heart-healthy lunch and schedule an appointment with a heart specialist or primary care provider. Registration is free and required at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/530601482317.
Adding on to the events, NRMC invites you to celebrate American Heart Month by accepting a challenge.
