Northeast Regional Medical Center Collaborates with Tiger Institute Health Alliance

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – July 28, 2025 – Northeast Regional Medical Center is collaborating with Tiger Institute Health Alliance (TIHA) Health Information Exchange (HIE) to allow participating healthcare providers to securely exchange patient information electronically. Patients who receive care in Kirksville or other member communities of TIHA HIE benefit from streamlined and coordinated care across multiple providers and health systems across several states.
“We strive to provide safe, quality care for each and every patient,” said Patrick Avila, NRMC chief executive officer. “We are excited to collaborate with Tiger Institute to ensure more streamlined access to health information, should a patient need care outside of our community. The Health Information Exchange equips providers and caregivers with critical patient data which helps them to provide better care.”
TIHA, a division of the Tiger Institute for Health Innovation, is a coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the efficiency and quality of healthcare delivery, while positively impacting the health and care of individuals, communities and beyond.
Allowing unified views of patient information at the point of care and improved efficiency of information sharing, the collaboration between NRMC and TIHA will improve the efficiency of information sharing with providers, payors, state agencies, and more.
“This collaboration will further enhance care for patients in the region, ensuring seamless information sharing for patients who require more specialized care at MU Health Care or other health care systems participating in our network,” said Mike Seda, executive director of Tiger Institute.
