John DeLeeuw, D.O. Joins Northeast Regional Medical Group Clinic

Dr. DeLeeuw to also serve as program director for NRMC internal medicine residency program
Kirksville, MO, August 3, 2023 –John DeLeeuw, D.O., has joined Northeast Specialty Group and will be accepting new patients at the Northeast Regional Medical Group Clinic at 1607 S. Baltimore Street Kirksville, MO 63501. Dr. DeLeeuw will continue to serve as program director for the internal medicine residency program at Northeast Regional Medical Center, providing oversight for residents and equipping them with practical knowledge to manage acute and chronic issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
“We are extremely happy that Dr. DeLeeuw has agreed to take on this new role at our Northeast Regional Medical Group Clinic,” said Dwayne Blaylock, interim CEO at Northeast Regional Medical Center. “Dr. DeLeeuw has spent many years with NRMC beginning with his Internal Medicine residency and was chief of medicine during the height of the pandemic.”
Dr. DeLeeuw graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A. T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, MO. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Northeast Regional Medical Center in 2008 and is board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine.
“I am excited to be joining the other fine primary care providers at Northeast Regional Medical Group,” said Dr. DeLeeuw. “I look forward to working with patients and residents in spreading the word about lifestyle medicine.
