Northeast Regional Medical Center Expands Services to Include Vascular Surgery

Kirksville, MO (Oct. 1, 2026) – Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC) has expanded services to include vascular surgery, welcoming vascular surgeons Robert Carter, M.D., and Jonathan Wilson, D.O.

With 25 years combined experience in vascular surgery, Drs. Carter and Wilson provide care for conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins and peripheral arterial disease. They also provide dialysis access placement and management, in addition to other advanced vascular services.

The surgeons are seeing patients at Northeast Regional Heart Center and are performing outpatient procedures at NRMC. They will travel from Kansas City to Kirksville for clinic and procedures four days a month.

“We are excited to bring vascular surgery services to the Kirksville community,” says Dr. Wilson. “We believe patients receive the best care when they can have the benefit of familiar surroundings and where their friends and family can attend and support their care experiences.”
